Mets to skip Jason Vargas' start on Tuesday
New York Mets starting pitcher Jason Vargas' next start will be skipped on Tuesday against the Atlanta Braves.
The Mets are choosing to take advantage of their scheduled off-days, so Vargas will sit out the two-game interleague road series. Zack Wheeler and Jacob deGrom will toe the rubber instead.
Vargas is averaging 15.2 FanDuel points in seven starts this season while recording a 7.71 ERA and 1.75 WHIP with 27 strikeouts and 12 walks across 30 1/3 innings.
