Braves' Mike Soroka (shoulder) will be activated, start Wednesday
Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Mike Soroka (shoulder) will be activated from the disabled list and start Wednesday, manager Brian Snitker said Saturday.
Soroka suffered a right shoulder strain in mid-May and went on the DL, making his first rehab start this past Thursday. This one start was all the Braves needed to see to decide he was ready to return, so fantasy owners should not be worried. Soroka had put up a 3.68 ERA through 14 2/3 innings before the injury.
Our models project Soroka to throw a 5.35 ERA with a 1.52 WHIP and earn 1-1 record in 27 more innings pitched this year. We peg him for a 17.5 percent strikeout rate and 8.3 percent walk rate.
