Padres' Austin Hedges (elbow) suffers setback during rehab assignment
San Diego Padres catcher Austin Hedges (elbow) had renewed soreness in his elbow and pulled himself from the lineup of his rehab game on Thursday.
Hedges was rehabbing Triple-A affiliate El Paso but felt soreness in his elbow and will be shut down for a few days. The reoccurrence is disappointing for the catcher as he was expected to rejoin the Padres this weekend, which will obviously not happen now. Hedges will be re-evaluated in a few days.
Hedges has hit .173 with 2 homers and 10 RBI in 81 plate appearances this season.
