Yoenis Cespedes

Yoenis Cespedes (hip) might not be ready for Mets on Thursday

New York Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes (hip) isn't guaranteed to be activated from the disabled list when first eligible on Thursday, according to manager Mickey Callaway.

What It Means:

“I’m not sure at this point,” Callaway admitted. “He’s just getting treatment right now.” Cespedes hasn't played since May 13 due to a right hip flexor strain and it sounds like the 32-year-old still needs more time to recover. Brandon Nimmo has been the primary beneficiary in Cespedes' absence.

Cespedes averaged 11.0 FanDuel points in 37 games before landing on the DL while slashing .255/.316/.474 with 8 home runs and 28 RBIs across 152 plate appearances this season.
