Royals put Lucas Duda (foot) on 10-day disabled list
Kansas City Royals first baseman Lucas Duda has been placed on the 10-day disabled list Monday with plantar fasciitis.
It's a tough break for Duda who has been swinging a hot bat in the month of May. It's unknown right now how long he'll be sidelined, but Hunter Dozier was recalled by the Royals, and he is in the lineup at first base on Monday. Dozier is batting ninth against lefty Ryan Yarbrough.
Before he went on the DL, our models projected Duda for a .233 batting average to go with 17 home runs, 36 runs scored, and 45 RBI over 350 plate appearances remaining this season.
