Steve Pearce will not start for Blue Jays Thursday night
Toronto Blue Jays infielder Steve Pearce will not be in the starting lineup in Thursday night's game against the Cleveland Indians.
What It Means:
Pearce played first base and hit eighth in the first game of a doubleheader this afternoon, but he'll be heading to the dugout for the nightcap.
Pearce is hitting a respectable .273 with an .818 OPS so far this season. We project him to hit .260 with 12 more home runs the rest of the way.
