Blue Jays' Justin Smoak placed on paternity leave
Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Justin Smoak has been placed on the team's paternity leave list.
What It Means:
After attending to his family, Smoak should return to the team at some point this weekend. In his stead, expect Kendrys Morales or Steve Pearce to start at first base.
Hitting .257 with 4 homers, Smoak is projected for 24 home runs, 67 RBI and a .265 average over the rest of the season.
