Elvis Andrus (elbow) not expected back for Rangers until June

Texas Rangers shortstop Elvis Andrus (elbow) revealed Wednesday that he's aiming to return to the active roster in the first or second week of June.

What It Means:

"I was aiming for the end of this month, but I wasn't true to myself. In my head, I thought it would be an easy comeback. I'm going to need more than that." Andrus landed on the disabled list April 12 for an olecranon fracture in his right elbow. Jurickson Profar should continue seeing starts at shortstop for the Rangers in the meantime.

Prior to going down, Andrus averaged 10.4 FanDuel points per game while slashing .327/.426/.500 with 2 home runs, 5 RBI, and 7 runs scored in 61 plate appearances.
