Reds' Scooter Gennett avoids structural damager in shoulder
Cincinnati Reds second baseman Scooter Gennett didn't suffer structural damage in his injured right shoulder, an MRI revealed.
Gennett is expected to be available in relief on offense but he's been shut down from throwing for a few days to allow the shoulder to heal. Rosell Herrera is starting at second base for the Reds on Tuesday after Alex Blandino got the nod in Monday's series opener against the Milwaukee Brewers.
Gennett is averaging 9.2 FanDuel points per game this season and numberFire's models project him to turn in 14 taters with 49 RBI in 329 plate appearances over the remainder of the year.
