Chris Taylor will be the Dodgers' everyday shortstop with Corey Seager out
Los Angeles Dodgers utility man Chris Taylor will take over as the team' s starting shortstop with Corey Seager out for the year.
Seager has a torn ligament in his elbow and will need Tommy John surgery, sidelining him for the remainder of the 2018 season. Taylor who came into the big leagues as a shortstop will fill in for Seager while Enrique Hernandez will take over in the outfield on a regular basis.
numberFire's algorithms project Taylor for 12 homers, 49 RBI, and 43 runs scored with a .257 batting average in 424 plate appearances the rest of the season.
