Tim Beckham (groin) placed on Orioles' 10-day disabled list
Baltimore Orioles infielder Tim Beckham (groin) has been placed on the 10-day disabled list with a left groin strain.
Beckham initially injured his groin in spring training and then aggravated the issue on Monday. He's not expected to return when first eligible. Danny Valencia is starting at third base and Jace Peterson is on second for Baltimore on Wednesday.
Beckham is averaging 5.9 FanDuel points per game this season and owns an underwhelming .179 batting average with 1 home run and 28 strikeouts through 93 plate appearances (23 games).
