Rangers' Delino DeShields (hand) ready for rehab games
Texas Rangers outfielder Delino DeShields (hand) is scheduled to play in minor league rehab games Thursday and Friday with Double-A Frisco.
DeShields played in just two games this season before injuring his hand and undergoing surgery on April 2. Barring any setbacks, it sounds like he could be back for Texas by this weekend. Carlos Tocci and Drew Robinson have been splitting work in center field for the Rangers while Shin-Soo Choo has been working as the leadoff man.
As of now, numberFire's models project DeShields to bat .243 with 7 homers, 27 steals, 60 runs scored, and 30 RBI in 469 plate appearances over the remainder of the season.
