Mets place Dominic Smith (quad) on 10-day DL
New York Mets first baseman Dominic Smith has been placed on the 10-day disabled list with a quad injury.
What It Means:
Smith was in line to start before suffering a quad injury in late February. As he progress in his recovery, Adrian Gonzalez will hold down the first base spot for New York.
In 2018, Smith is projected to hit .207 with 11 home runs and 30 RBI.
