Giants' Mark Melancon (forearm) placed on 10-day disabled list
San Francisco Giants reliever Mark Melancon has been placed on the 10-day disabled list with a right forearm injury.
Melancon underwent surgery last September and still isn't right. Reyes Moronta was called up from Triple-A Sacramento in a corresponding roster move. Tony Watson, Hunter Strickland, and Sam Dyson could all be in the mix for save opportunities out of the Giants' bullpen.
Prior to this move, numberFire's models project Melancon to record a 2.73 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, and 21.9 strikeout percentage with 26 saves across 59 1/3 innings this season.
