Anthony Rizzo hits go-ahead bomb as Cubs advance

Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo blasted a go-ahead solo home run in the sixth inning, and the Cubs eliminated the St. Louis Cardinals, 6-4, Tuesday night in Game 4 of their National League Division Series.

What It Means:

With the game knotted at 4-4, Rizzo belted an 0-2 pitch into the rightfield bleachers to nose the Cubs in front. Kyle Schwarber added a moonshot an inning later for insurance. It was the first time in team history the Cubs clinched a playoff series at home.

Rizzo's long ball came off Cardinals' reliever Kevin Siegrist, who he also homered off in Game 3. Rizzo ended the regular season with a .384 wOBA, after posting a .397 wOBA in 2014. He connected for 32 homers last season and 31 this year. He'll be one of the first bats off the board in 2016 drafts.
