Twins' Miguel Sano avoids suspension for assault allegations
Minnesota Twins third baseman Miguel Sano will not be suspended following an investigation into assault allegations.
In a statement released on Friday afternoon, Major League Baseball said that Sano avoided punishment due to "insufficient evidence" and "conflicting and inconsistent witness accounts and the absence of contemporaneous substantiation." The 24-year-old third baseman was accused in December of attempting to kiss photographer Betty Bissen and pull her into a hallway at an event back in 2015.
numberFire's models project Sano to bat .242 with 32 home runs, 77 RBI, and 68 runs scored in 524 plate appearances this season.
