Jake Odorizzi named Opening Day starter for Twins
The Minnesota Twins have named pitcher Jake Odorizzi as their Opening Day starter.
What It Means:
Odorizzi has had a fantastic spring training, posting a 0.87 ERA over 10 1/3 innings. He'll take on the Baltimore Orioles on March 29.
For the 2018 season, numberFire projects Odorizzi to post a 3.75 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, and 127 strikeouts in 159.9 innings.
