Orioles' Mark Trumbo (quad) will miss 3-4 weeks
After undergoing an MRI, Baltimore Orioles outfielder/first baseman Mark Trumbo has been diagnosed with a Grade 2 right quad strain and will be sidelined 3-4 weeks.
It's unfortunate news for Trumbo, who's now expected to begin the season on the disabled list. The injury perhaps opens the door for someone like Pedro Alvarez to take his roster spot in the early going.
Prior to the injury, numberFire was projecting Trumbo for 28 home runs, 73 RBI and a .242 average over 562 plate appearances this season.
