Mariners' Robinson Cano (hamstring) to undergo precautionary MRI

Seattle Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano will undergo a precautionary MRI on his injured left hamstring.

What It Means:

Cano was pulled from Sunday's Cactus League game for what was believed to just be tightness in his left hamstring, but the Mariners want to be sure the veteran isn't dealing with anything more serious. This doesn't seem like anything that will put Cano's status at risk for Opening Day.

numberFire's models project Cano to bat .282 with 22 home runs, 86 RBI, and 73 runs scored in 624 plate appearances this season.
