Jonathan Lucroy's one-year deal with Athletics reportedly worth $6.5 million
Oakland Athletics catcher Jonathan Lucroy, formerly of the Colorado Rockies, will make $6.5 million in his one-year deal with the club, reports Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle.
Lucroy still needs to pass a physical before the deal becomes final. The Athletics don't have a clear answer behind the plate, so it's possible that Lucroy gets the nod at catcher for Opening Day.
Lucroy slashed .265/.345/.371 with 6 home runs, 40 RBI, 45 runs scored, and 1 steal in 481 plate appearances (123 games) for the Rockies and Texas Rangers last season.
