Ryon Healy (hand) could be ready to go by Opening Day for Seattle
Seattle Mariners first baseman Ryon Healy (hand) has been cleared to hit off a tee and could be ready to go on Opening Day, per manager Scott Servais.
Healy is ahead of schedule as he was initially pegged to out for at least the first week of the season following surgery to remove a bone spur in his hand. The 25-year-old is expected to be the team's everyday first baseman following a trade from the Oakland A's this offseason.
Our models project Healy for a .252 batting average, 20 homers, 69 RBI, and a 23.4% strikeout rate in 563 plate appearances in 2018.
