Delino DeShields notches three hits, scores twice as Rangers win

Texas Rangers outfielder Delino DeShields went 3-for-7 with an RBI and a pair of runs scored in Friday's victory over the Toronto Blue Jays.

What It Means:

DeShields -- who also stole a base -- had three of the team's 11 hits, as they were able to take down the Jays in 14 innings despite getting next to nothing from the middle of their lineup all day. It was Adrian Beltre's replacement, Hanser Alberto, who drove in the go-ahead run in extras.

DeShields, a former Rule 5 selection, now has five hits in the first two games of the ALDS. He finished the regular season with a .317 wOBA and 25 swipes. The Rangers will go for the sweep in Game 3 on Sunday.
