Boston unlikely to trade Jackie Bradley following J.D. Martinez signing

Per MLB Network's Jon Morosi, the Boston Red Sox are unlikely to trade outfielder Jackie Bradley following the signing of J.D. Martinez on Monday.

What It Means:

It sounds like the Red Sox are going to have Martinez serve as their everyday designated hitter, so Bradley's position in Boston's loaded outfield is safe. Morosi notes that they also want to keep him in order to preserve their offensive depth. At 27, Bradley's due $6.1 million this season.

A year ago, Bradley appeared in 133 games, hitting 17 home runs, driving in 63 runs and scoring 58 of his own.
