Colby Rasmus homers again as Astros take opening game
Houston Astros outfielder Colby Rasmus hit a solo home run and stole a base in Thursday's 5-2, Game 1 win over the Kansas City Royals in the American League Division Series.
Rasmus homered in Tuesday's Wild Card win over the New York Yankees, and he did it again Thursday. The 29-year-old outfielder connected for the solo shot against Royals' reliever Ryan Madson in the seventh inning. He also stole his first base of the postseason in the affair. Don't expect to see that too much, though. Rasmus swiped just two bags in 137 regular season games.
He'll try to keep his bat hot for Friday's Game 2 showdown with the Royals' Johnny Cueto. Rasmus finished the regular season with a .339 wOBA and a career-best 25 homers.
