Nationals won't bring Dusty Baker back in 2018
The Nationals will not bring back manager Dusty Baker for the 2018 season.
Baker's contract was set to expire after the season, and following back-to-back first-round exits from the playoffs, the Nationals have decided not to bring back the 68-year-old manager. He led the club to consecutive National League East titles while going a combined 192-132.
Across 22 seasons as a manager, Baker is 1863-1636 (.532) across stints with the San Francisco Giants, Chicago Cubs, Cincinnati Reds, and Nationals.
