Red Sox' Eduardo Rodriguez out for six months following knee surgery
After undergoing knee surgery, Boston Red Sox pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez will not pitch for six months, according to WEEI's Rob Bradford.
Rodriguez underwent a successful patellofemoral ligament reconstruction surgery on his right knee and won't be ready to start the 2018 season. How long the 24-year-old will have to wait to pitch next season is yet to be determined.
Over 24 starts and 25 total appearances, Rodriguez went 6-7 with a 4.19 ERA, 3.97 FIP and 9.83 strikeouts per 9 innings in 2017.
