Red Sox' John Farrell: Dustin Pedroia (knee) 'healthy enough' for ALDS
Boston Red Sox manager John Farrell said Wednesday that second baseman Dustin Pedroia is "health enough" as the team heads into it's best-of-five series against the Houston Astros.
The 34-year-old Pedroia missed the last three regular season games due to discomfort in his left knee, but it sounds like he'll be fine to start Thursday's Game 1 for Boston. In his many years in the league, Pedroia has never missed a postseason game and says that he's "ready to go."
In 47 postseason games, Pedroia is slashing .242/.321/.395 with 5 home runs and 25 RBI in 216 career plate appearances. The seasoned veteran has averaged 9.7 FanDuel points with a .331 wOBA in 2017.
