Eric Thames starting, leading off on Friday for Milwaukee
Milwaukee Brewers outfielder/first baseman Eric Thames is back in the lineup and leading off Friday's road game against the St. Louis Cardinals.
What It Means:
After getting a breather yesterday afternoon, Thames will replace Neil Walker at first as Walker forces second baseman Eric Sogard to the bench tonight in St. Louis. Thames opposes righty John Gant from the left side of the plate.
With 1 home run, 3 RBI and a .204 average when hitting first this season, Thames might not be in the best of spots tonight. But the Brewers do carry an implied total of 4.52 runs against the inexperienced Gant.
