Cardinals' Yadier Molina (concussion) hopes to play again in 2017
St. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina said that he hopes to play again this season and possibly as early as Thursday, according to MLB.com's Jennifer Langosch.
Molina left Monday's game after taking a couple of foul tips to his mask. Molina vomited as he walked off the field, but he says that the nausea symptoms have subsided already. With the Cardinals all but out of the hunt, it wouldn't be a bad idea to shut down Molina. Until (or if) he returns, Carson Kelly will handle the catching duties for St. Louis.
Over 136 games, the 35-year-old has accounted for 18 home runs, 82 RBI and 60 runs in 2017.
