Matt Carpenter (shoulder) back in Cardinals' lineup on Wednesday
St. Louis Cardinals third/first baseman Matt Carpenter is back in the lineup as the Cardinals match up with the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday night.
Carpenter sat on Tuesday and stated earlier today that he is and will be playing with shoulder discomfort down the stretch. Expect him to get his rest days here and there, but for tonight he's starting at first and hitting leadoff for St. Louis. Meanwhile, Jose Martinez will go back to the bench as Carpenter returns today.
Facing righty Rookie Davis, we project Carpenter for 11.9 FanDuel points at a cost of $4,100. His Cardinals own the second-highest implied total of the night, at 5.41 runs.
