Kennys Vargas starting for Twins on Wednesday
Minnesota Twins first baseman Kennys Vargas is starting on Wednesday against the New York Yankees.
Vargas will man first base and bat eighth versus Yankees right-hander Luis Severino in Wednesday's series finale. Joe Mauer will start at designated hitter while Robbie Grossman grabs a seat on the Twins' bench.
Despite a batter-friendly matchup (9.0 over/under, 1.048 park factor), the Twins have a weak implied total (3.66), hurting their appeal for fantasy owners. numberFire's models project Vargas to score 7.9 FanDuel points at a cost of $3,000 on Wednesday.
