Red Sox' Mookie Betts battling thumb contusion
Boston Red Sox outfielder Mookie Betts is day-to-day with a right thumb contusion after exiting Sunday's contest against the Tampa Bay Rays.
Betts isn't expected to be dealing with any significant damage after injuring himself during a collision at first base in the fourth inning on Sunday afternoon. Rajai Davis took over in right field for Boston.
