Matt Adams will sit out first game of Braves' doubleheader
Atlanta Braves first baseman/outfielder Matt Adams is out of the lineup Wednesday afternoon against the Texas Rangers.
Adams will sit out the first game of the douleheader, with Matt Kemp getting the start in left field. It's strange to see him get the day game off against righty Miguel Gonzalez, because the Rangers are starting southpaw Cole Hamels in the nightcap.
Our models project Adams for a .255 batting average, with 3 home runs, 9 RBI, and 7 runs scored over 59 plate appearances remaining this season.
