Tyler Austin recalled by Yankees from Triple-A
New York Yankees first baseman/designated hitter Tyler Austin was recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Austin was sent down to Triple-A on August 25. He is 7-for-30 (.233) with 2 home runs and 13 strikeouts in 10 games this season. The 25-year-old right-handed hitter could see work against southpaws down the stretch.
numberFire's models currently project Austin to bat .250 in limited play over the remainder of the season.
