Rockies' Pat Valaika back on the bench Monday
Colorado Rockies shortstop/third baseman Pat Valaika is back on the bench for Monday afternoon's tilt with the San Francisco Giants.
With the Rockies deciding to give their All-Star third baseman a breather, Valaika was forced into action at third base yesterday, but Nolan Arenado's now back to start Monday's matchup in Denver.
Valaika went 0-for-4 with a trio of strikeouts last night, but he is projected for 1 home run, 5 RBI and a .258 average the rest of the year.
