Braves make Brandon Phillips a late scratch (personal) on Thursday
Atlanta Braves infielder Brandon Phillips was a late scratch from Thursday's lineup.
According to Dave O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Phillips was scratched due to personal reasons. The veteran infielder was originally slated to play third base and bat second for Atlanta.
Our models projected Phillips for a .740 OPS with a pair of homers in 112 plate appearances remaining this season.
