Twins' Miguel Sano (shin) heading to hospital for further examination
Minnesota Twins third baseman/designated hitter Miguel Sano told reporters Thursday morning that he is headed to the hospital for more tests on his shin.
Sano has been out since August 19 due to a stress reaction in his left shin. He isn't able to run and hasn't made any progress, but hopefully the Twins can get him back as they try to secure their ticket to the postseason.
Over 111 games this season, Sano is slashing .267/.356/.514 with an .870 OPS while recording 28 home runs, 77 RBI, and 75 runs scored across 475 plate appearances.
