Mets' Yoenis Cespedes leaves game with leg injury
New York Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes was forced to leave Friday's game against the Washington Nationals in the first inning with an apparent leg injury.
Cespedes took a walk in his first, and only, at-bat on Friday but pulled up lame as he was running on the basepaths. He was immediately removed and replaced by Matt Reynolds. Expect more details to follow after the game.
Cespedes is slashing .292/.352/.540 while cranking 17 home runs in 321 plate appearances, during an injury plagued 2017 season.
