Mets' Michael Conforto (shoulder) may require surgery
New York Mets outfielder Michael Conforto suffered a posterior capsule tear in his left shoulder on Thursday, in addition to a dislocation.
It's an injury that may require surgery for the 24-year-old outfielder. The Mets will place Conforto on the disabled list on Friday, and while no timetable has been given for his return, it appears that his season is over.
If Conforto is indeed done for the year, he finishes 2017 with a .279/.384/.555 slash while recording 27 taters, 68 RBI, and 72 runs scored over 440 plate appearances.
