Mariners' Felix Hernandez (shoulder) will miss three to four weeks
The Seattle Mariners expect starting pitcher Felix Hernandez to miss the next three to four weeks after he was diagnosed with right shoulder bursitis.
The team originally said he was going on the disabled list with biceps tendinitis, but it has now been revealed that he is suffering from bursitis, which is the same injury that he dealt with earlier in the year. It's a tough blow for the M's at this point in the year, who are only one game out of a tie for the second AL wildcard spot.
Hernandez owns a 4.28 ERA and 4.01 xFIP over 73.2 innings pitched this season. His SIERA of 4.11 is well above his career average of 3.35.
