Giants' pitcher Chris Heston will start Saturday
San Francisco Giants' pitcher Chris Heston will start for the Giants on Friday against the Colorado Rockies in Coors Field.
Giants manager Bruce Bochy had given consideration to starting Tim Hudson in his place, but opted to stick with the young right hander. If he has another rough outing though, he could be shifted to the bullpen.
Heston has failed to pitch five innings in four of his last five outings. In 149 1/3 innings, the rookie owns a solid 3.79 FIP and a 53 percent groundball rate. We have him with a 3.95 ERA and 1.37 WHIP for the remainder of the regular season.
