Mets' Daniel Murphy has mild strain of left quad

New York Mets infielder Daniel Murphy is dealing with a mild strain of his left quad.

What It Means:

Murphy left Wednesday's game with what was described as "mild discomfort" in his quad. He missed some time earlier this year with the same injury and has apparently been playing through it again in recent days. The Mets are calling him day-to-day for now.

Murphy's 2015 numbers are right in line with what he's done the past three years. He owns a .318 wOBA, after posting wOBAs of .324, .320 and .318 the past three seasons. He does own an isolated-slugging percentage of .148, his best mark since 2009. After swiping 49 bags over the last three campaigns, he's only stolen two bases this year. We have him posting a .725 OPS with two jacks over the season's final month.
