Billy Hamilton (ankle) left Tuesday's game early for Reds

Cincinnati Reds center fielder Billy Hamilton left Tuesday night's game with a sore left ankle.

What It Means:

Manager Bryan Price removed Hamilton from the game in the top of the eighth and went on to say that he hopes there are no lingering issues and that they'll have to look at where he's at today. For now, consider him day-to-day for the Reds. If he were to miss any time, expect some combination of Arismendy Alcanta, Jesse Winker and Patrick Kivlehan to take over in center.

Having gone 2-for-4 with a triple and home run in last night's game, Hamilton now owns a .341 wOBA with 6 extra-base hits in the second half to date. Our models project him for 10 more extra-base hits in 218 plate appearances the rest of the way this season.
