Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw (back) officially placed on the disabled list
Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw has been placed on the 10-day disabled list.
Kershaw suffered a lower back strain in his start on Sunday, and while there's no official word on how long Kershaw may be sidelined, initial reports are that it will likely be in the 4-6 week range, per Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports.
Kershaw has turned in a superb 2017 season, with a 2.04 ERA, 2.91 SIERA, 31.1% strikeout rate, 4.4% walk rate and 0.88 WHIP through 21 games.
