Miguel Sano's 14th home run helps power Twins past White Sox
Minnesota Twins rookie designated hitter Miguel Sano hit his 14th home run Tuesday, helping lead the Twins to an 8-6 victory over the Chicago White Sox.
Sano added a pair of singles in going 3-for-5 while scoring twice.
This bumps Sano's slash up to a jaw-dropping .295/.403/.608 for his rookie campaign. He has struck out 36.0 percent of the time, but the times he has made contact have made up for it with a 51.0 percent hard-hit rate. He is a big part of the reason the Twins still hold a 22.3 percent chance of making the playoffs, per our algorithms.
