David Price recovers from rough start to pick up win for Boston
Boston Red Sox pitcher David Price allowed three runs on six hits over seven innings Thursday in a 6-3 defeat of the Minnesota Twins.
Price surrendered a run in the first inning and two more in the fourth, but he was able to stay clean across the final three innings, allowing just two more singles before his night came to an end. The 31-year-old left-hander struck out seven and walked none while improving to 3-2 on the year. He owns a 4.61 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, and 20.3 strikeout percentage (K%) through seven starts. Next up is a Tuesday road visit with the Texas Rangers.
numberFire's models project Price to record a 4.33 ERA, 1.31, and 19.1 strikeout percentage in 74 2/3 innings while going 5-4 over the remainder of the year.
