Ian Desmond continues to raise average as Rockies lose in extras
Colorado Rockies outfielder Ian Desmond racked up three singles and a walk in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the San Francisco Giants.
In six plate appearances, Desmond reached base safely four times on Tuesday. He continues to work his way back to full strength after suffering a fractured hand earlier this season.
Desmond owns a .282/.312/.392 slash on the year, but those numbers are at .292/.330/.406 for the month of June. Our projections like the 31-year-old to hit for a .270 average with 6 home runs over the remainder of the 2017 season.
