Brandon McCarthy (knee) placed on disabled list by the Dodgers
The Los Angeles Dodgers placed starting pitcher Brandon McCarthy on the 10-day disabled list with right knee tendinitis.
The knee injury does not appear to be serious for McCarthy with his DL stint expected to be minimal. Kenta Maeda will start on Tuesday and will be in line for at least one more with McCarthy sidelined.
McCarthy has a 4.40 SIERA with 57 strikeouts in 72 innings pitched this season.
