Nelson Cruz starting in the outfield Monday for Seattle
Seattle Mariners outfielder Nelson Cruz will start in right field against the Colorado Rockies on Monday.
National League rules prevent the Mariners from using Cruz as a designated hitter. Ben Gamel is starting in left field while Guillermo Heredia rides pine. Right-hander Tyler Chatwood is on the mound for Colorado.
Cruz is slashing .286/.365/.537 with 12 home runs, 20 runs scored and 41 RBI's in 203 plate appearances this season (49 games).
