Cardinals put Kolten Wong on disabled list
The St. Louis Cardinals placed second baseman Kolten Wong on the 10-day disabled list, retroactive to May 27, with a left elbow strain.
Greg Garcia is starting at second base and batting sixth against German Marquez on Sunday and he should see some more playing time with the injury to Wong. Jhonny Peralta could also see a boost in playing time while Wong is on the shelf.
Our models project Garcia for 0.7 hits over 4.2 plate appearances on Sunday with a 54.0 percent chance of scoring a run and a 46.0 percent chance of driving in a run.
